Derek was a ghost for his first Halloween even though he didn't go trick or treating! Such a cute little ghost!

Derek was born with a lot of hair and it continued to grow, he didn't lose much hair, like everyone told me he would! Not even 2 months old Derek received his first haircut! His Aunt Lori gave him the haircut! Derek did so good while his hair was being cut!

Here is our little family the day Derek was blessed!

We blessed Derek with he was just under a month old! We went and bought him a cute little outfit and got everything ready! The day before the blessing Derek broke out on the bottom part of his face! Everybody told me that would happen, but he was still so cute!

I loved being a mom, even though didn't get much sleep! I was so grateful that we were blessed with this handsome little baby!

When we came home from the hospital, Derek had jaundice, so they had a billibed delivered to the house so it would help the jaundice go away! Brian laid him on a blanket and let the sun shine on him before the bed was delivered! Derek was suppose to be on the bed all the time, it was really hard to not be able to hold him except for feeding him. He cried a lot, but we had to keep him on there so the jaundice would go away!

We didn't know until our baby was born what his name was going to be! I was about 2 weeks late with Derek, it was miserable! Derek was wanting to stay in there as long as he could! The doctor ended up inducing me because of that! When Derek came out the umbillical cord was wrapped around his neck so he had to go straight over to the nurses to be checked out! Derek didn't cry, all he did was grunt, it was so cute!

Time went by and Brian and I found out we were going to have a baby! We were so excited! I went to the Doctor's office to make sure I was pregnant and after the doctor's appointment I went out to my car and found out I had a flat tire, and there was a lot of snow on the ground! Brian was at work and he forgot his cell phone! My brother came over and helped me! We weren't sure if we wanted to tell people right away, but we told his parents that night over the phone and told some others we were close too! We told everybody else on Christmas and the days following that! The first part of the pregnancy wasn't too bad except being tired all the time and a little sick! We both couldn't wait to find out the gender of the baby! We both felt like we were having a boy but we didn't know for sure if we were. Turns out we were right, we found out we were going to have a little baby boy!

Brian and I were married at the Manti Temple in 2006!

Brian and I met back in 2005 at the Kearns Single Branch. I had just come got out of the ARMY and I was living with my brother. Brian bought a house in Kearns and was living there with his sisters. We didn't talk much at the branch. I became friends with his sister and one day she invited me to dinner and so I came over to their house and who knew that it would change my life. When Brian walked in dressed in his suit, he had just got back from home teaching, something inside me told me that you like him. I didn't really know him so I kept trying to forget about it, but that didn't happen. We went to dinner at the Macaroni Grill, which we go every year on the day, we ended up ordering the same thing and that night Brian started to talk to me more. After dinner we went for a ride in old blue and he kept telling me to call shot gun, which I did because he kept telling me too, and then after the ride was over he walked me out to my car and he told me that if I ever needed anything to let him know and right there I realized how sincere he was and that he would do anything for anybody. A few days later he took me out and we went shopping for his sister's Christmas present and he took me out to Black Angus to eat. We had fun, talked a lot! I realized that I really like him. Of course I am skipping a lot of details. He called me up a few days later and asked me if I wanted to go to Huntington with him, I didn't know what that was or where so I said sure and then he told me that he was inviting me to his parents house for Christmas. I wasn't sure about going, but a really good friend talked me into going. So I spent Christmas with his family, it was very different because I was never close to my family. I had a lot of fun and that is actually where Brian and I had out first kiss! After that we spent whatever time we could together. Brian proposed to me on his birthday at the reflection pond at the SLC Temple. We decided to get married in May in Manti! I am so lucky to have Brain as my husband, he is everything to me!
